Auntie Marie and Honey

8 Aug

If you didn’t know by now, every few months, my Mom and Dad drop me off at summer camp for a week of bliss. That’s right, when they go off to play golf, I get to go to Auntie Marie’s and Honey’s house!  While Mom calls it “Camp”, I like to refer to Auntie Marie’s house as my home-away-from-home.

Here I am with Auntie Marie in her lovely backyard:

While I love hanging out with Auntie Marie, I must confess that Honey is my favorite girlfriend ever.  She’s cute, sweet, and loves to be with me, but doesn’t everyone?

Border Patrol Agent

26 Jul

You probably won’t believe this, but I have a new job.  That’s right, I’m now an official Border Patrol agent.  My job is to ensure that pesky varmits (rabbits, squirrels, birds, and other smelly critters) don’t invade my space.  As you can see, I’m very diligent and I take this job pretty seriously.

Summer Camp

Tashi back from summer camp

Yesterday afternoon, I got back from summer camp at Auntie Marie’s.  I know I look a bit “rustic”, but that’s what summer camp is all about, right?   I had a blast playing with Honey, my long time girlfriend, as well as with Blue, and Maggie too.  Some of the fun things we did included a long hike in the foothills, playing in water, and lots of romping.

Mom says it’s time to get a bath, but I don’t know why.  I’m a boy having fun in the summer, Mom!

Yes, I’m a Bird Dog

12 May

You probably didn’t know this about me but I’m quite the bird dog. See, we have this little bird, “Peck”, as my Mom calls him. For over a month now, Peck pecks on our kitchen window for hours at a time for no apparent reason. Kind of cute, but I will say it’s kind of getting old now.

Enter me!

See, my Dad figured that I’d be a good bird dog and chase Peck away.  Unfortunately that strategy didn’t work out too well as you’ll see in the photo below.  My Dad’s strategy was to make me sit (with my leash on) next to a kitchen chair right in front of the window where Peck does his stuff.  However, since I’m so charming and good looking, Peck could care less about me and he continues with his pecking.  Great idea Dad….NOT!

Life is Good!

2 May

I’m here to say that it’s a GREAT day. First off, the weather is finally cooperating. It’s going to be 80 and my Mom is very happy again (but about those white feet Mom). Second, just found out that the ship that Uncle Justin is on (the USS Carl Vinson) had an interesting visitor earlier today who didn’t stay long (Osama Bin Laden) and lastly, Auntie Nancy gave me noogies today!  Nothing better than noogies from Auntie Nancy.

Yes, my life is good!

It’s Birthday Week!

19 Apr

I officially turned five years old this past weekend.  It’s hard to believe because I’m even more dashing and dapper than I was last year.  I went in for my semi-annual check up with Dr. Evil today and found that that I weighed in at 41 lbs!  Note to Mom:  Please don’t cut back on my cheerio intake.  I only get nine little cheerios a day, for heaven sakes!  I promise to chase more squirrels in the back yard to work off the extra pounds.

Face, Fanny & Feet!

Tashi's Face, Fanny & Feet Day

Today was my all-important hair-doo day.  Yes, that’s right, I got the Face, Fanny, and Feet treatment!  Life is good.  Not only do I look great, a smell even better, or at least that’s what my Dad said this afternoon as I snuggled next to him on the ground.

Birds, Birds, Birds!

29 Mar

Today, something very strange happened.  Little finches were trying to fly into my Mom’s office window all day long.  They kept pecking at the window, fluttering, and looking in at me.

I basically sat in the same position all day long with the hopes that one of them would find a way in and then I’d have a chasing opportunity in the house!  Too bad.

At one point this afternoon, my Mom thought that I was a statue because I was sitting so still. I’m a very patient Tibetan Terrier, you know.

What’s Better? A bath or a new critter?

10 Mar

There’s nothing better than going to My Dog’s Spot for a bath. I smell soooo good and I’m super fluffy again. Nice!  The even better part of my day was when I got home.  Mom had ventured out to purchase a new addition to my critter collection.  Sweet!

Here I am with Piglet, as I’m affectionately calling him. In ten minutes of ownership, Piglet is still intact, which is pretty good for me.  Mom has asked me to “gentle” with him, whatever that means.  I’m ready to start operating on Piglet to remove him of the squeakers.  They must go!

Piglet Update:  Well, it’s been about 20 minutes now since I got home and I wanted to let you know that “Operation Piglet” is well underway.  My Mom’s a bit peeved as I’ve already taken out one sqeeker and lots of stuffing.  I’m just that good!

The Day After a Holiday Weekend

The after affects of a three-day weekend for Tashi

Wow, it’s so hard to go back to work after a three-day weekend.  I’m trying to hold a staff meeting with my collection of toys, but I’m so tired, I just can’t get motivated to start the meeting.  Any suggestions?
